Surroundings

The picturesque and sun-drenched village of La Punt Chamues-ch lies in the middle of the Engadine between St. Moritz and the National Park. Situated at the southern foot of the Albula Pass at 1700 m.a.s.l. and at the entrance to the mysterious valley of the chamois, the Val Chamuera. The Chesa Strimer is situated in a very sunny and quiet location in the village of Chamues-ch, directly on the cross-country ski trail and with excellent public transport connections. Various restaurants are in the immediate vicinity, my insider tip the Müsella and the Krone are only a few minutes' walk away. The village shop, the bakery and the organic farm shop are only a few minutes' walk away and have a lot to offer. The local sports shop Colani is well equipped whether in winter for ski and cross-country ski rental or in summer for hiking or biking equipment. The Chesa Strimer is the ideal starting point for all the activities that the Upper Engadine has to offer. From the cross-country ski trail, dog cross-country trail, ski lift and playground Müsella to the inline skating track and the Albula Trail, everything is within 2-3 minutes walking distance. The garden of over 1000m2 is enclosed by a wall and fence and has a fireplace, table and deckchairs. It is large enough for everyone to find a place to relax, read or play. For smaller children there is a sandpit and swings, while older children will find a football pitch and skate park in the school building two minutes away. Bikes and skis can be parked in the shared entrance area. There are also games and toys to borrow on the upper floor of the house.

Location

The Chamues-ch Müsella bus stop is right in front of the house. Line 6 goes in the direction of St. Moritz, line 7 goes to Zernez. In winter, the cross-country ski trail and the Müsella ski lift, which is well suited for beginners, can be reached on foot in three minutes. With the ski bus from the stop Chamues-ch Müsella you can reach the valley station of the more demanding ski area of Zuoz in twelve minutes.
